It is renowned as one of the largest private homes on the planet and also one of the most fabulous structures. it is the main royal residence worked in the twentieth century. Umaid Bhawan Palace was constructed by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929 to counter a starvation which had hit the state at the time. The royal residence was outlined by HV Lanchester, and was finished in 16 years.
